Question asked on the Adobe InDesign Forum:

How to add letters to page numbers in an index in InDesign? [10/03/24]

Once you’ve finished formatting your Index (and saved your document – just in case), simply run this Script to get the final result you want.

Note that you can cancel the Script execution completely.

If you want to put, e.g., “s” and “ss” [“s” for “suivant”, in French] instead of “f” and “ff” [“f” for “following”, in English], or add a space between the page number and the letter (“f” or “s”), feel free to contact me for a free update.

All the Alert Messages of the Script are in English (by default) or French. If you would like them to appear in the Language of your own InDesign environment, feel free to contact me for a free translation as well.
